FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God

Romans 8:3: For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh.

FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God

The Law could not save; it can only condemn. But God sent His Son to save us and do what the Law could not do. Jesus did not come as an angel; He came as a man. He did not come “in sinful flesh,” for that would have made Him a sinner. He came in the likeness of sinful flesh, as a man. He bore our sins in His body on the cross. The “law of double jeopardy” states that a man cannot be tried twice for the same crime. Since Jesus Christ paid the penalty for your sins, and since you are “in Christ,” God will not condemn you. 1

FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God

Is the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if there had been a law given which could have given life, truly righteousness would have been by the law. Galatians 3:21

It was impossible for the Law to produce righteousness in man. This is not the fault of the Law. The fault lay in man and the sin in his flesh. The Law was totally incapable of producing any good thing in man. That is why we need Jesus and why we must be born again. If the law could not do it, then neither can you or your good works. God did it! God did it! God did it! It is DONE! Rejoice now in His finish work for you.

FAITH: Comes by Experiencing the Transforming Work of God

The law can never make the lawless a law abiding, sinless person.

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God

Restore to me the joy of Your salvation. Psalm 51:12

Dear Father, my heart rejoices in Your saving grace for me…in Jesus Name. Amen.
