FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God

Romans 3:20: Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God

Now, I challenge any person today who believes that you have to keep the Law to be saved to take this verse and explain it. And “justified” means to be declared righteous, to be saved, to meet God’s standards. You can never do it, my beloved. It’s absolutely impossible for mankind to do. “By the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified.” Then what is the purpose of the Law? “By the law is the knowledge of sin.” Rather than providing a salvation for man, the Law reveals man to be a sinner. 1

FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did. Romans 8:2-3

Jesus, thank You for freeing me from the demands of the law. The law requires absolute perfection. The law also required a death penalty for law breakers. The law only produced spiritual frustration and never any spiritual fruitfulness. And the law could never liberate me from the temptation to sin. But thank You Jesus for fulfilling the demands of the law by dying my death, and living Your life through me. Thank You for Your indwelling presence and power that allows me to pursue a life of holiness.

FAITH: Comes by Experiencing the Transforming Work of God

The law put me in prison, but the Spirit set me free.

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God

Those who live according to the Spirit, set their mind on the things of the Spirit. Romans 8:5

Dear Father, teach me to yield to Your Holy Spirit, moment by moment, day by day, in Jesus Name. Amen.
