FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God

Romans 8:20: For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope;

FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God

This was not a voluntary subjection because the created world as such had no choice. Instead it was a decree of God, the sovereign Creator, who subjected it. And yet it was in hope, that is, in anticipation of a coming day when the “frustration” would be removed. God judged the totality of His Creation along with people for their sin. 1

FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God

To Adam He said, “Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat of it’: “Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil you shall eat of it All the days of your life. Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you, And you shall eat the herb of the field. In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread Till you return to the ground, For out of it you were taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall return.” Genesis 3:17–19

The consequences of sin are experienced every day. Just think of your own personal struggles as a result of your continual sin. The creation also bears evidence, every time you look at a new garden weed, or you see sweat falling from your face after a hard day of work. Rejoice, because there is a new day coming soon!

FAITH: Comes by Experiencing the Transforming Work of God

The climate change issue will no longer be an issue, when He reveals the new heaven and the new earth. Until then, worship the Creator, not the creation.

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God

Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. 2 Peter 3:13

Dear Father, thank You for redeeming me and Your creation…in Jesus Name. Amen.
