FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God

Romans 10:14–15: How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!”

FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God

It is necessary to understand Paul’s position in order to appreciate these verses. The Jews, his own people, hated the apostle Paul even though they applauded Saul, the Pharisee. They rejected his claim, or the right of any of the apostles, to proclaim a gospel that omitted the Mosaic system which had degenerated into Pharisaism. Paul shows that there must be messengers of the gospel who have credentials from God. Paul, began this epistle with the claim that he was a called apostle of Jesus Christ. There follows a logical sequence. Preachers must be sent in order for people to hear that they might believe, for they would not know how to call upon God. 1

FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God

But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that the message might be preached fully through me, and that all the Gentiles might hear. Also I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. 2 Timothy 4:17

God will stand with you, if you will stand for Him. Will you be His messenger of Good News. Will you be His voice of faith? Will you present His gospel of saving grace?

FAITH: Comes by Experiencing the Transforming Work of God

The one who brings the good news, is the one who has a blessed walk.

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God

Having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace. Ephesians 6:15

Dear Father, may my feet represent a fruitful walk with You…In Jesus Name. Amen.
