FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God
Romans 6:5: For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection.
FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God
Too many Christians are “betweeners”: they live between Egypt and Canaan, saved but never satisfied; or they live between Good Friday and Easter, believing in the Cross but not entering into the power and glory of the Resurrection. It is clear, then, that the believer cannot deliberately live in sin since he has a new relationship to sin because of his identification with Christ. The believer has died to the old life; he has been raised to enjoy a new life. 1
FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God
Even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:5–6
Something happened. Things are different now. You are no longer the same person. You have a new place and a new position. You are no longer governed by worldliness. You are now a child of God. You belong to the family of God. Your life is hidden in Christ. Your home is secured in heaven. He sees you seated with Him in the heavenly places and He wants you to experience His resurrected life today and everyday. Your new pursuit should be godliness. It is time to live victoriously in Him and for Him.
FAITH: Comes by Experiencing the Transforming Work of God
No longer bound to the earth; Now raised with Him in newness of life.
FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God
I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. John 15:5
Dear Father, may I learn to live a resurrected life, believing in Your completed work on the cross, and bearing fruit for Your glory, in Jesus Name. Amen.
