FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God

Romans 13:1: Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.

FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God

We are to submit ourselves to governmental authorities for the very simple reason that they are ordained of God. It is true that the kingdoms of this world belong to Satan and that injustice and corruption abound in all governments; yet God still has control. God has not abdicated His throne; He is riding triumphantly in His own chariot. Now the allegiance of the Christian is to that throne. 1

FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God

And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Matthew 6:13

We are living in challenging times that are testing the overreach of governing authorities at federal, state, and local levels. There is no national unity on what is lawful. And how about the voice of God’s other appointed leaders over His church. When is it permissible to minister against the ordinances, even if it means death or imprisonment to a pastor? There is a reason that followers of Jesus are the most persecuted people in the world. Submission is not an exercise in holy silence. How about praying today for those willing to preach, when there is a Sunday silence throughout a nation that needs to hear from God and repent and live for Him.

FAITH: Comes by Experiencing the Transforming Work of God

Submission has a voice, and it has spoken loudly for almost 50 years against the rules and regulations of the Supreme Court regarding abortion.

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God

Submitting to one another in the fear of God. Ephesians 5:21

Dear Father, may my submission be based on fearing You more than fearing man.
