Revelation 2:16: Repent, or else I will come to you quickly and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth.
Jesus and His Word
“Antipas had felt the sword of Rome, but the church at Pergamos would feel the sword of Christ—the Word (Heb. 4:12)—if they did not repent. This is not a reference to our Lord’s return but to a present judgment that comes to a church when it is disobedient to the Word of God. The Lord had presented Himself as “He which hath the sharp sword” (Rev. 2:12), so the church could not have been ignorant of its danger.” 1
Jesus and His Ways
Blessed repentance is the gracious opportunity that the God of heaven bestows upon the people of earth:
- to forsake their sins
- to ask for His forgiveness
- to receive His cleansing and purifying grace which removes all stain of sin
- to establish a new holy pursuit of seeking Jesus with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength
- to forsake all other worldly loves
- to be holy, because He is holy
“Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent.” Acts 17:30

According to Your lovingkindness;
