Psalm 119:130: The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.

Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms

If we begin at the beginning, and take it before us, we shall find that the very first verses of the Bible give us surprising and yet satisfying discoveries of the origin of the universe, about which, without that, the world is utterly in the dark. As soon as the word of God enters into us, and has a place in us, it enlightens us; we find we begin to see when we begin to study the word of God. The very first principles of the oracles of God, the plainest truths, the milk appointed for the babes, bring a great light into the soul. 1

Living the Transformed Life

For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:6

  • His light will direct your steps.
  • Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.

  • His light will correct your steps.
  • Proverbs 6:23 The law a light; reproofs of instruction are the way of life,

  • His light will protect your steps.
  • 2 Peter 1:19 And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well heed as a light that shines in a dark place.

Knowing Him is the only way of knowing where to go and what to do. – TWEET IT

Praise and Prayer

Thank You, Father, for making a way out of darkness, into Your marvelous light. Dear Jesus, please let your word illuminate each and every step I take.
