Psalm 143:10: Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness.

Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms

It is the desire and endeavor of all God’s faithful servants to know and to do his will, and to stand complete in it. He pleads, “Thou art my God, by whom I may expect to be advised—my God, and therefore my ruler, whose will I desire to do.” If we do in sincerity take God for our God, we may depend upon him to teach us to do his will, as a master does his servant. We should desire to be led to heaven, not only because it is a land of blessedness, but because it is a land of uprightness. 1

Living the Transformed Life

Show me Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day. Psalm 25:4–5

  • Pray right now to be filled with the knowledge of His revealed will for you today. – “We do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.” Colossians 1:9
  • Pray right now for His work in you, so you can do your work for Him. – “He will make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ.” Hebrews 13:21
  • Pray right now for an obedient heart, that delights to know and do His will. – “Make me walk in the path of Your commandments, For I delight in it.” Psalm 119:35

Praise and Prayer

Thank You, Father, for always teaching and leading me in all Your ways. Dear Jesus, please help me to pray more often, and with more faith.
