Psalm 88:1: O Lord, God of my salvation, I have cried out day and night before You.
Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms
His prayer was personal; it was intensely earnest, so that it was correctly described as a cry, such as children utter to move the pity of their parents; and it was unceasing—neither the business of the day nor the weariness of the night had silenced it; surely such entreaties could not be in vain. It is a good thing that sickness will not let us rest if we spend our restlessness in prayer. Evil is transformed to good when it drives us to prayer. 1
Living the Transformed Life
The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1
- Believe His truth when you have to persevere in prayer, for His Word will light your way through all the darkness that surrounds you.
- Believe His truth when your soul is overwhelmed with weariness, for His Word will be your strength and your comfort when you are all alone.
- Believe His truth when it seems like the whole world is against you, for His Word will deliver you from all your fears, and lead you into the victory that you prayed for.

Praise and Prayer
Thank You, Father, for being there and hearing every prayer at every hour. Dear Jesus, please reveal the truth of Your Word to my desperate soul.
