Psalm 62:1–2: Truly my soul silently waits for God; From Him comes my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.

Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms

David avowed to walk in the dark, trusting God. O for a faith like that! A God–given faith! What others called defeat, to David was but a test of faith. Here is a man so wholly committed to God. He refuses to attempt to force God to do anything but determines to go the way God leads, regardless of the path. O, to live like that today. 1

Living the Transformed Life

Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; ‘For Yah, the Lord, is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation.’ ” Isaiah 12:2

  • To wait upon God, means you are willing to search His Word, and believe His promises, regardless of what you are feeling.
  • To wait upon God, means your are willing to walk in faith, in a dark and corrupt world, believing the light of His truth will lead you in victory.
  • To wait upon God, means you may never be free from the pain, suffering, and sorrow of this world, but your soul can rest each day in His abiding presence, and the certain hope of your future home, in a tearless heaven.

The hope that this world offers is just a mirage. – TWEET IT

Praise and Prayer

Thank You, Father, for being my Rock, my Salvation, my Defender, and my Hope. Dear Jesus, thank You for quieting my soul, in this very noisy and distracting world.
