Proverbs 8:22: The Lord possessed me at the beginning of His way, before His works of old.

Insight

So glorious are the rays of the eternal supreme deity, his distinct personality, his essential unity, that the mysterious, ever-blessed Being now undoubtedly stands before us. To receive his own revelation of himself is our great privilege. He was brought … forth, the only begotten Son, a term that it is much safer to adore than to expound, expressing, as it does, what is unsearchable. No less clear is his eternal existence. He was in the beginning. He was “the first of his works.” He was “destined and advanced to be the Wisdom and Power of the Father, Light and Life, and all in all, both in the creation and the redemption of the world.” 1

Application

The apostle Paul said that the world is without excuse regarding the existence of God if it examines the ever-present beauty of His creation. As you look outward today and observe all that was designed by Him, will you express your praise and adoration for His creative genius and for His personal love for you. Receive the fulness of His love and grace for you, in faith, right now.

Motivation

And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. Colossians 1:17

The One who always existed is the One who gave His life for you. – TWEET IT

Prayer

Father, thank You for revealing Yourself through the beauty of Your creation.
