Jesus is Essential

Matthew 24:8–13: All these are the beginning of sorrows. “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.

We are not to expect a time of universal purity of doctrine and practice in the church of Christ before the end comes: if we do, we shall be greatly mistaken. Our Lord tells us to look for the rising of “false prophets” and the “increase of wickedness,” and “the love of most will grow cold.”

The truth will never be received by all who claim to be Christians, and holiness will never be the rule among men, until the great head of the church returns, and Satan is bound: then, and not till then, will there be a glorious church without stain or wrinkle of any other blemish. 1

Walking with Jesus

We each have a personal responsibility to live a holy life. Are you living your life with the purposeful intention to glorify God with your words and deeds? Is your love evident for all to see? Are you known for your graciousness or your contentiousness? Do you have a burning passion of love or is your heart growing cold towards those you should love? Let’s be different than the world we live in. Let’s not hate, betray, offend, and become cold-hearted. Let’s build up and bless one another with our words and deeds.

That He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. Ephesians 5:27

Before the rapture, let’s be caught up in taking Christ to world with our words & deeds.

Praying

Lord, I am so sorry for the way the world has rejected Your love and forgiveness. Please keep my heart tender towards Your will for my life. Make me obedient.
