Jesus is Essential
John 17:24: “Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.
It will be heaven to be with Him in perfect fellowship. I take it that this was God’s purpose in creating man. There are other creatures in the universe and on the earth, but God made man a creature with whom He could have fellowship. God created man with a free will; and, even though man sinned, God wants his fellowship. Heaven is going to be wonderful, and it will be important that every one of His sheep is there with Him. Each one will have his contribution to make. To behold the glory of the Lord Jesus will be the satisfaction of the believer. Moses asked to see the glory of God. Philip asked to see the Father. Sometimes we get a glimpse of glory in a rainbow or a sunset. Think what it will be when we come into His presence and behold His glory! That is the goal to which we are moving. 1
Walking with Jesus
What is keeping you from seeing His glory? Ask God for eyes of faith to see Him as you read His Word. Ask God to remove your heart of stone, that you may receive His love in humility. Ask God to remove your critical spirit, so you can hear clearly from Him once again. Surrender your will for His. Do it now.
We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:8
The fellowship of heaven can be experienced on earth, when we abide with Him.
Praying
Lord, reveal Your glory, that I may see Your majesty, and give you praise.
