Jesus is Essential
John 17:6: I have manifested Your name to the men whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word.
It is a wonderful thing to be able to listen to this prayer and to know that Jesus is at God’s right hand talking to the Father about us. The Lord Jesus has talked to the Father about you today, if you are one of His. There is a mystical relationship between the Lord Jesus and His own. They belong to the Father and were given to Jesus Christ. I can’t fathom its meaning. What a wonderful relationship! 1
Walking with Jesus
How long would it take a new acquaintance to know that you belong to God? Would they first discover this by your words or by your actions? Could Jesus give you a letter of recommendation based on the fact that you know His word and you keep His word?
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. Colossians 3:16
The Father and The Son have noted that you are keeping His word.
Praying
Lord, please teach me how to hold on to Your truth, and to let go of the lies.
