Jesus is Essential
John 12:47–50: And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him—the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak.”
Friend, we are going to be judged by the Word of God. We will not be judged by our little good works. We will not be judged by what we think religion is. No, we will be judged by the Word of God. Jesus came the first time as the Savior: “I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.” The next time He will come as the Judge. The voice from heaven is still saying to us, “… This is my beloved Son … hear ye him.” 1
Walking with Jesus
Many have received His Word for salvation and are saved. But many who are saved are no longer receiving His Word for sanctification. Sanctification means to “be set apart for the purposes of God.” Would you consider yourself a surrendered believer, or a believer who is only conveniently surrendered? Do you desire to make any changes based upon the truth of God’s Word.
However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life. 1 Timothy 1:16
The blessing is in receiving His Word; the condemnation is in rejecting His Word.
Praying
Lord, thank You for revealing Your truth, about Your saving grace, to save my soul.
