Godly Encouragement for Daily Living

A PROMISE

So we are always confident,
knowing that while we are at home in the body
we are absent from the Lord.
For we walk by faith, not by sight.
We are confident, yes, well pleased
rather to be absent from the body
and to be present with the Lord.
Therefore we make it our aim,
whether present or absent,
to be well pleasing to Him.
2 Corinthians 5:6–9

A Prayer

Heavenly Father…
I live each day with a growing expectation of going home.
I am blessed to have daily fellowship with You.
In prayer and in the Word.
And by the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit.
But my walk of faith will soon be over.
When I see You face to face…I will be walking by sight.
You have given me great confidence about the future.
To leave this world and to be with You in glory.
Therefore, I desire to please You, each day, with my whole life.
In Jesus Name. Amen.
