Godly Encouragement for Daily Living

A PROMISE

For we know
that if our earthly house,
this tent,
is destroyed,
we have a building from God,
a house not made with hands,
eternal in the heavens.
2 Corinthians 5:1

A Prayer

Heavenly Father…
Thank You for my heavenly home.
My body certainly feels like a tent.
It belongs to this earth.
Temporal.
Getting older.
Weathered and worn out.
Its “shelf-life” is coming to an end.
But the best is yet to come.
A new body.
A resurrected body.
Designed by God to last for all eternity.
Prepared in heaven. Waiting for me.
In Jesus Name. Amen.
