Godly Encouragement for Daily Living

A PROMISE

But even if our gospel is veiled,
it is veiled to those who are perishing,
whose minds the god of this age has blinded,
who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.
For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord,
and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus’ sake.
2 Corinthians 4:3–5

A Prayer

Heavenly Father…
Thank You for Your saving grace.
I was perishing, but then You opened my eyes to Your truth.
I was spiritually blinded by the lies of Satan.
The enemy lives in the darkness and captured me.
But You are the light of the world.
Your gospel dispels the darkness.
The glory of Christ lifted the veil of darkness.
Your truth revealed the darkness, and You rescued me.
You gave me the gospel truth.
That is a message to be declared to the world.
Once a slave of the world, now a servant of Jesus Christ.
Called and commissioned to bring the gospel to the world.
In Jesus Name. Amen.
