Godly Encouragement for Daily Living

A PROMISE

Not that we are sufficient of ourselves
to think of anything as being from ourselves,
but our sufficiency is from God,
who also made us sufficient
as ministers of the new covenant,
not of the letter but of the Spirit;
for the letter kills,
but the Spirit gives life.
2 Corinthians 3:5–6

A Prayer

Heavenly Father…
Thank You for being the All-Sufficient One for me.
Forgive me for thinking I could become self-sufficient.
That was from a worldly philosophy that I accepted.
Trying to be independent and in control of life.
This foolish thinking brought foolish living.
Thank You for becoming my sufficiency.
Without You I can do nothing.
Thank You for making me sufficient to serve You.
It is not by my power nor by my might.
It is only by Your Holy Spirit.
Thank You giving me a new life in the Spirit.
In Jesus Name. Amen.
