Psalm 89:1–3: I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever; With my mouth will I make known Your faithfulness to all generations. Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms

The psalmist vowed to praise the Lord for His love and faithfulness. Ethan the Ezrahite’s wholehearted belief that God is faithful was the basis for his appealing to the Lord in his dilemma. Since God made covenant promises to David, should not He, the faithful God, keep His promises? 1

Living the Transformed Life

I have not hidden Your righteousness within my heart; I have declared Your faithfulness and Your salvation; I have not concealed Your lovingkindness and Your truth From the great assembly. Psalm 40:10

  • Will you praise God for His faithfulness? For He provided for you when your checking account balance was zero!
  • Will you praise God for His faithfulness? For He restored a marriage that once had little hope of surviving.
  • Will you praise God for His faithfulness? For He opened a door of employment beyond your resume, and has gifted you with the capacity to excel.

His faithfulness deserves our lips of praise to all generations.

Praise and Prayer

Thank You, Father, for Your steadfast faithfulness. Dear Jesus, forgive me for failing to praise Your unfailing history of faithfulness in my life.
