Psalm 47:2: For the Lord Most High is awesome; He is a great King over all the earth.

Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms

For the Lord, Jehovah, the self-existent and only God, most high, most great in power, lofty in dominion, eminent in wisdom, elevated in glory, is terrible. None can resist his power or stand before his vengeance; yet as these are wielded on behalf of his subjects, they are fit reasons for rejoicing. Omnipotence, which is terrible to crush, is almighty to protect. He is a great King over all the earth. Not over Judea only, but to the utmost isles. Not a hamlet or an islet is excluded from his dominion. 1

Living the Transformed Life

Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts, And I will declare Your greatness. Psalm 145:6

  • Will you praise Him for His greatness over all the rulers of the world?
  • Will you praise Him for His greatness over all your personal weaknesses?
  • Will you praise Him for His greatness over all the situations facing you?

His greatness is seen everywhere, when your eyes are open to His awesomeness.

Praise and Prayer

Thank You, Father, for demonstrating Your power and strength everywhere. Dear Jesus, please keep my heart in a place of praise and adoration for Your glory.
