Psalm 145:5–6: I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, and on Your wondrous works. Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts, and I will declare Your greatness.

Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms

His work of grace is wondrous above all. Let it be the delight of each one of us according to our position to speak lovingly of our Lord. It is the occupation of every true believer to tell of the great doings of his great God. We are personally to make a declaration of what we have seen and known. 1

Living the Transformed Life

I have not hidden Your righteousness within my heart; I have declared Your faithfulness and Your salvation; I have not concealed Your lovingkindness and Your truth From the great assembly. Psalm 40:10

  • This is how I will declare His greatness everyday. – “Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; Talk of all His wondrous works!” Psalm 105:2
  • He is the One in whom the meditation of my heart is surrounded by His majesty. – “Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, who only does wondrous things.” Psalm 72:18
  • Look to Him alone to do wondrous and awesome acts.- “Therefore I make a decree that any people, nation, or language which speaks anything amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego shall be cut in pieces, their houses shall be made an ash heap; there is no other God who can deliver like this.” Daniel 3:29

May my meditation of His majesty fill me holy wonder and surrender.

Praise and Prayer

Thank You, Father, for displaying Your greatness for all to see. Dear Jesus, teach me to pause more when I consider Your awesome acts.
