Psalm 92:13: Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.

Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms

No heart has so much joy as that which abides in the Lord Jesus. If someone abides in Christ, he brings forth much fruit. Those who are rooted to the world do not flourish; those who send forth their roots into the marshes of superficial pleasure cannot be in a very strong spiritual condition; but those who dwell in habitual fellowship with God will come to full growth, rich in grace, happy in experience, mighty in influence, honored and honorable. Once planted of the Lord, we shall never be rooted up, but we shall take root downward, and bring forth fruit upward to his glory forever. 1

Living the Transformed Life

And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:24–25

  • When you are in the house of the Lord…the Lord will speak to you from His word.
  • When you are in the house of the Lord…the Lord will bless you and encourage you with His hope, love, and grace.
  • When you are in the house of the Lord…the Lord will enrich your life with meaningful fellowship from like-minded believers.

Willfully missing church is like intentionally excommunicating yourself from fellowship with Him and His family.

Praise and Prayer

Thank You, Father, for designing us to be in fellowship with you and with others. Dear Jesus, please forgive me for selfishly seeking my will instead of Your will.
