Psalm 44:8: In God we boast all day long, and praise Your name forever.

Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms

In God we boast all the day long. We have abundant reason for doing so while we recount his mighty acts. All other boasting is loathsome except this, which is deserving praise and pleasing. And praise thy name forever. Praise should be perpetual. If there were no new acts of love, yet ought the Lord to be praised for what he has done for his people. Now let the song be lifted up as we bring to remembrance the eternal love which chose us, predestinated us to be sons, redeemed us with a price, and then enriched us with all the fullness of God. 1

Living the Transformed Life

My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; The humble shall hear of it and be glad. Psalm 34:2

  • Today, you can boast about Him, when you tell others of the forgiveness that you have received from Him.
  • Today, you can boast about Him, when you tell others of the unconditional love that you have received from Him.
  • Today, you can boast about Him, when you tell others of the strength that you have received from Him, to do His will and to glorify Him with your life.

When we praise Him, we are boasting about His marvelous love and grace.

Praise and Prayer

Thank You, Father, for the outpouring of Your grace without measure or limits. Dear Jesus, please forgive me for failing to boast about Your victory over sin and death.
