Psalm 25:4–5: Show me Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.

Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms

There are two ways a man can go. He can go God’s way or his own way. God gives us a choice. We can walk in the path of our choosing. “There is a way which seems right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death” (Prov. 14:12). What a glorious thing it is to be able to call out to God and ask Him to show us the way we should go. The psalmist is calling on God to show him the way, to teach him the way. 1

Living the Transformed Life

Thus says the Lord: “Stand in the ways and see, And ask for the old paths, where the good way is, And walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’ Jeremiah 6:16

  • He will show you the right way to go, but are you willing to follow Him?
  • He will teach you how to walk uprightly, but are you willing to walk away from wrong living?
  • He will lead you by His truth, but are you willing to obey His truth?

Jesus can only be your leader, if you are willing to follow Him.

Praise and Prayer

Thank You, Father, for being all that I need, all the time. Dear Jesus, please transform me by Your truth, and teach me to live rightly for You.
