Psalm 140:8: Do not grant, O Lord, the desires of the wicked; Do not further his wicked scheme, lest they be exalted.

Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms

Don’t let yourself become bitter. Don’t get carried away with enmity and revenge, which will separate you from a walk of faith. God will take care of things. It has been my experience that when we keep our hands off, God will generally move in and deal with those who attempt to thwart and hinder God’s work. Vengeance belongs to God. Turn the case over to Him. 1

Living the Transformed Life

Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. Romans 12:19

  • Let Him fight your battles. – He frustrates the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot carry out their plans. Job 5:12
  • Watch Him fight your battles. – He catches the wise in their own craftiness, and the counsel of the cunning comes quickly upon them. Job 5:13
  • Bless Him with your trusting faith, for He will win every battle for you. – So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then the king’s wrath subsided. Esther 7:10

Live life from the Victory He won for you at Calvary.

Praise and Prayer

Thank You, Father, for Your final and complete victory at Calvary. Dear Jesus, please forgive me for fighting Your battle, instead of resting in Your victory for me.
