Psalm 83:18: That they may know that You, whose name alone is the Lord, are the Most High over all the earth.

Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms

I am convinced that the only way this world is going to know that God is God is for Him to move in judgment. The goodness of God ought to lead men to repentance, but it doesn’t. If men were at all sensitive to the presence and person of God, it would lead them to His presence, but it actually drives them farther away from God. We are an affluent nation now. When we were a frontier nation, pioneering, fighting our way across to the West, we depended on God, but today we think we don’t need Him. However, it looks to me as if we need Him desperately. 1

Living the Transformed Life

For your Maker is your husband, The Lord of hosts is His name; And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; He is called the God of the whole earth. Isaiah 54:5

  • Has the goodness of God moved your heart towards a greater love for God?
  • Has the goodness of God caused your walk with God to be in greater obedience and service?
  • Has the goodness of God been rejected by you, and will the judgement of God be necessary in order to save your soul?

To know Him is to live for Him.

Praise and Prayer

Thank You, Father, for Your goodness,, upon goodness upon goodness. Dear Jesus, please teach me to know the blessedness of obeying You.
