Psalm 43:5: Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God.
Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms
Hope in God, or wait for God. There is need of patience, but there is ground for hope. The Heavenly Father will not stand by and see his children trampled on forever; light must arise for the people of God, though for a while they may walk in darkness. Why, then, should we not be encouraged, and lift up our head with comfortable hope? For I shall yet praise him. Times of complaint will soon end and seasons of praise begin. 1
Living the Transformed Life
But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. Romans 8:11
- Jesus rose from the dead, therefore you also have hope in your own resurrection from the dead, into a glorious life in heaven.
- Jesus rose from the dead, therefore you also have hope in His holy presence living in you.
- Jesus rose from the dead, therefore you also have hope in trusting Him to lead you in victory over sin and over your enemies.
To hope in Him, is to always be hopeful.
Praise and Prayer
Thank You, Father, for being the lifter of my head, my heart, and my soul. Dear Jesus, I want to sing praises to You, for You are my countenance.
