Psalm 24:1–2: The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein. For He has founded it upon the seas, And established it upon the waters.
Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms
David speaks of Him again as the Creator. This earth belongs to Him. The earth does not belong to the Democrats or the Republicans. It does not belong to the president, whoever he might be. It does not belong to the Communists. There are so many people today who want to run this earth, but it belongs to God. On the third day of creation God said, “… Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.” When God gathered the waters together, submerged land appeared out of the water. It was life out of death, and it speaks of resurrection. 1
Living the Transformed Life
Psalm 89:11 The heavens are Yours, the earth also is Yours; The world and all its fullness, You have founded them.
- I will praise my Creator because the Bible says: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
- I will praise my Creator because the Bible says: “For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible.”
- I will praise my Creator because the Bible says: “All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.”
The One who made all things is the same One who made me new in Him.
Praise and Prayer
Thank You, Father, for the beauty of Your creation that is revealed with every new day. Dear Jesus, please teach me to stand strong and speak loud about creation.
