Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms
To be known, in the Lord’s case, is to be honored: those who know his name admire the greatness of it. Although Judah and Israel were unhappily divided politically, yet the godly of both nations were agreed concerning Jehovah their God; and truly whatever schisms may mar the visible church, the saints always “appear as one” in magnifying the Lord their God. Dark is the outer world, but within the favored circle Jehovah is revealed, and is the adoration of all who behold him. The world knows him not and therefore blasphemes him, but his church is full of passion to proclaim his fame unto the ends of the earth. 1
Living the Transformed Life
Nebuchadnezzar the king, To all peoples, nations, and languages that dwell in all the earth: Peace be multiplied to you. I thought it good to declare the signs and wonders that the Most High God has worked for me. Daniel 4:1–2
- Will you make your love for The Lord known to someone else today?
- Will you stop complaining about fellow Christians, and start praising the faithfulness of God?
- Will you be more passionate about spiritual matters, and less passionate about worldly matters?
To give Him glory is to glorify Him with your words and worship and work.
Praise and Prayer
Thank You, Father, for changing me, and for giving me a heart of love for You. Dear Jesus, please teach me to be passionate about the things that matter most.
