Psalm 7:17: I will praise the Lord according to His righteousness, and will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High.
Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms
The psalm ends with David’s vowing to thank and praise God for His righteousness, a righteousness yet to be manifested in the psalmist’s experience. So even though he was slandered and attacked, David wholeheartedly trusted in his righteous Lord (the Most High) for vindication and equity. 1
Living the Transformed Life
It is good to give thanks to the Lord, And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High. Psalm 92:1
- When there is little to give thanks for, give thanks to God for declaring you righteous for all eternity.
- When you are slandered and attacked, know you can trust God wholeheartedly, for He will never treat you like some of His people treat you.
- Remember, there will come a day when He will declare His truth over all the foolish and selfish living of this life, and He, the Most High will vindicate you publicly to the shame of the thoughtless ones.
The Most High will have the final say, to the dismay of many.
Praise and Prayer
Thank You Father, for making the right all the wrongs of this life. Dear Jesus, please teach me to keep trusting you when trustworthiness is no where to be found.
