Psalm 11:7: For the Lord is righteous, He loves righteousness; His countenance beholds the upright.

Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms

In contrast with God’s judgment on the wicked (v. 6), the Lord, who is righteous … loves justice (lit., “righteousness”). The upright—those who by faith trust Him and seek to follow His ways—will see His face. This means that the righteous are admitted to His presence and enjoy His blessings. 1

Living the Transformed Life

The Lord opens the eyes of the blind; The Lord raises those who are bowed down; The Lord loves the righteous. Psalm 146:8

  • He loves your choice to live righteously.
  • He loves to shine His grace upon you.
  • He loves the way you behold Him as your Shepherd.

He is God, and God is love, and God loves to love.

Praise and Prayer

Thank You Father, for always loving me with Your unconditional love. Dear Jesus, please help me to forsake unholy living.
