Psalm 85:10: Mercy and truth have met together; Righteousness and peace have kissed.
Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms
The writer was confident that the Lord would cause His attributes (love, faithfulness, and righteousness) to work together to provide peace, righteousness, and prosperity. 1
Living the Transformed Life
For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations. Psalm 100:5
- Have you experienced a sacred meeting with mercy? “Have mercy upon me, O God, According to Your lovingkindness; According to the multitude of Your tender mercies, Blot out my transgressions.” Psalm 51:1
- Have you experienced a sacred meeting with truth? And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. John 17:3
- Have you experienced a sacred meeting with righteousness? For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:21
There is no peace until we know His peace.
Praise and Prayer
Thank You, Father, for the unity of mercy, grace, and truth to save a sinner like me. Dear Jesus, please teach me to wait upon You, and to receive all that You have for me.
