FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God
Romans 11:8–10: Just as it is written: “God has given them a spirit of stupor, Eyes that they should not see And ears that they should not hear, To this very day.” And David says: “Let their table become a snare and a trap, A stumbling block and a recompense to them. Let their eyes be darkened, so that they do not see, And bow down their back always.”
FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God
The table has reference to feasting, which is representative of material prosperity. The children of Israel had great feasts at which they were actually guests of God—they did not invite God to their feasts as the pagans did—rather, God invited them. The Passover was a notable example. The thought here is that they were feasting in a conceited confidence which was entirely pagan. Their carnal security deceived them as to their true spiritual ruin. They trusted the things they ate without any true confidence in God. This is the condition at the present moment of multitudes of church members. They come to the Lord’s Supper without a spiritual understanding. 1
FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God
Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavors; Give them according to the work of their hands; Render to them what they deserve. Psalm 28:4
Your outcome is very predictable. You reap what you sow. If there is very little personal pursuit of spiritual truth, then there will be little evidence that you are a follower of Jesus. If you live in the Spirit, then you will have a Spirit-filled walk.
FAITH: Comes by Experiencing the Transforming Work of God

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God
But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart. 2 Corinthians 3:15
Dear Father, I need Your grace. Please open my eyes and heart to Your truth. Amen.
