FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God

Romans 8:5: For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. Romans 8:5

FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God

“They that are after the Spirit” are born again, regenerated and in-dwelt by the Spirit of God. They love the things of Christ. “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sits on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth” (Col. 3:1–2). And Paul says, “Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering” (Col. 3:12). You and I cannot do these things by effort. It is only as we let the Spirit of God work in our lives. 1

FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God

That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. John 3:6

We were all born into this world. Every human being on earth has that in common with one another. It took a physical birth to enter planet earth and it takes a spiritual birth to enter into an eternity in heaven. This spiritual birth takes place when you ask and receive His forgiveness for your sins. It is at that very moment, being born again, that you receive the gift of eternal life. You also receive the gift of His Holy Spirit. It is His indwelling presence that will empower you to live a life in holiness for His glory.

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God

For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. Colossians 3:3

Dear Father, thank You for hiding my life in the fullness of Your love…in Jesus’ name. Amen.
