FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God

Romans 7:4: Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another—to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God.

FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God

In these verses Paul applied his illustration of marriage to a believer and the Law. He said, You also died to the Law. Just as a believer “died to sin” and so is “set free from sin,” so he also died to the Law and is separated and set free from it. As a wife is no longer married to her husband when he dies, so a Christian is no longer under the Law. This separation was through the body of Christ, because of Christ’s death on the cross. As a result Christians belong to another, to Him who was raised from the dead. This is the Lord Jesus Christ. In a sense believers are united to Him as His bride. God’s purpose in all this is in order that we might bear fruit to God. 1

FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God

That you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. Colossians 1:10

Thank God today for being His bride. As the bride of Christ, He causes our lives to bear fruit for His glory. Live your life, knowing that you have been raised from the dead. You no longer need to live hopelessly and in despair. You are on a journey to heaven. All expenses have been paid by Him, and your reservations are confirmed. So enjoy the trip, celebrating His faithfulness each day. Tell others about Him!

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God

In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 The 5:18

I am grateful that we have been able to journey together, as today is DL number 3,000.
