FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God

Romans 2:22–24: You who say, “Do not commit adultery,” do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples? You who make your boast in the law, do you dishonor God through breaking the law? For “the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you,” as it is written.

FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God

Idolatry was the terrible climax for the Jew; he could go no lower than that. I wonder if you and I make a mockery of the person of Christ. Someone has put the question in poetic language:

“The gospel is written a chapter a day, By deeds that you do and words that you say.

Men read what you say, whether faithless or true, Say, what is the gospel according to you?” 1

FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God

And I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst; and the nations shall know that I am the Lord,” says the Lord God, “when I am hallowed in you before their eyes. Ezekiel 46:23

Jesus, please forgive me mis-representing You by living in such a way that did not exalt the name of my Heavenly Father. From this day forward, by your grace, I will make it my aim to live a surrendered life. Whatever You want, I want to be fully yours. Wherever You go, I want to go with You. In all that I do, I choose to bring glory to you.

FAITH: Comes by Experiencing the Transforming Work of God

It is no longer about me, since I have surrendered myself for thee. – TWEET IT

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God

Oh, magnify the Lord with me, And let us exalt His name together. Psalm 34:3

Dear Father, may the words of my mouth, and the work of my hands, be acceptable in Your sight…in Jesus’ name. Amen.
