FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God

Romans 1:21: Because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.

FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God

Man knew God; this is clear. But man did not want to know God or honor Him as God. Man refused to thank God or give Him the glory He deserves. Man was willing to use God’s gifts, but he was not willing to worship and praise God for His gifts. The result was an empty mind and a darkened heart. Man the worshiper became man the philosopher, but his empty wisdom only revealed his foolishness. 1

FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God

And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. John 3:19

Jesus, thank You for the revelation of Yourself to me. Thank You for teaching me that it is foolish to be self-sufficient. Thank You for teaching me that only You are the all sufficient One, deserving all the honor and glory. Thank You for all the gifts You have given to me. Teach me how to use each one. Teach me to bless others. Teach me to always live in Your glorious light. Teach me to reject the wisdom of the world. Teach me to embrace the wisdom in Your Holy Word. Teach me to depend upon Your Holy Spirit. I am forever grateful for Your grace that never ceases.

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God

Whoever offers praise glorifies Me; And to him who orders his conduct aright I will show the salvation of God.” Psalm 50:23

Dear Father, may the words of my mouth speak of Your marvelous ways. May the work of my hands bring You glory. May my behavior bless You…in Jesus’ name. Amen.
