FAITH: Comes by Hearing the Word of God

Romans 1:7: To all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

FAITH: Comes by Studying the Word of God

Note the repetition of the word called: Paul was called to be an apostle; the believers were the called of Jesus Christ; and they were also called saints. (A saint is a set-apart one, and the person who trusts Jesus Christ is set apart and is a saint.) Salvation is not something that we do for God; it is God who calls us in His grace. When you trust Christ, you are saved by His grace and you experience His peace. 1

FAITH: Comes by Obeying the Word of God

God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth, to which He called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 2:13–14

Jesus, thank You for calling me and making me a saint. I want to be set apart for whatever purposes you have for my life. Thank You for Your grace that keeps me from striving, and for Your peace that keeps me from worrying. I am blessed to be on a journey with You each day. My heart rejoices in being a person who is beloved of God!

FAITH: Comes by Experiencing the Transforming Work of God

The blessing of being called a beloved one of God is a blessing made for our soul. – TWEET IT

FAITH: Comes by Praying with the Word of God

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 5:1

Dear Father, thank You for Your abundant love, Your generous grace, and Your powerful peace. And thank You for justifying me for all eternity…in Jesus’ name. Amen.
