Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms
By purchase and by power the Lord redeems us from the spiritual death into which we had fallen, and from the eternal death which would have been its consequence. Had not the death penalty of sin been removed, our forgiveness and healing would have been incomplete portions of salvation, fragments only, and but of small value, but the removal of the guilt and power of sin is fitly attended by the reversal of the sentence of death which had been passed upon us. Glory be to our great Substitute, who delivered us from going down into the pit, by giving himself to be our ransom. Redemption will ever constitute one of the sweetest notes in the believer’s grateful song. 1
Living the Transformed Life
The Lord redeems the soul of His servants, And none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned. Psalm 34:22
- Redemption…will you thank Him now for His rescue mission to save you from hell!
- Redemption…will you thank Him now for His substitute death, in exchange for your life!
- Redemption…will you thank Him now for paying a debt He never owed so you could be free from a debt you could never pay!
Redemption is far beyond our capacity to ever fully understand, but we do have the capacity to always give thanks for His saving grace. – TWEET IT
Praise and Prayer
Thank You, Father, for sending Your Son to redeem me, so that I can spend eternity with You. Dear Jesus, please teach me more about the depth of Your eternal love.
