Psalm 90:12: So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms
Instruct us to mourn for that time past wherein we have sought to do the will of the flesh, using diligently the time present, which is the accepted hour and the day of salvation, and reckoning the time which lies in the future to be too uncertain to allow us safely to delay any gracious work or prayer. Give earnest attention to eternal things. Become humble as you look into the grave. He alone can teach you about lasting profit. We have not enough time at our disposal to justify us in misappropriating a single quarter of an hour. 1
Living the Transformed Life
Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. Ephesians 5:16–17
- God, since You have numbered my days, please teach me to humbly live my life with a surrendered will to do Your will.
- God, since You have numbered my days, please teach me to live my life by faith, with a hunger and thirst for Your righteousness.
- God, since You have numbered my days, please teach me to pursue You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength.

Praise and Prayer
Thank You, Father, for having my entire life under Your sovereign control. Dear Jesus, thank You for teaching me that I can do nothing without You.
