Psalm 51:6: Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts, and in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom.

Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms

The repentant sinner feels that God is teaching him truth concerning his nature, which he had not before perceived. The love of the heart, the mystery of its fall, and the way of its purification—this hidden wisdom we must all attain; and it is a great blessing to be able to believe that the Lord will “make us to know it.” No one can teach our innermost nature but the Lord, but He can instruct us to profit. The Holy Spirit can put the fear of the Lord within; He can reveal Christ in us, and he is essential wisdom. 1

Living the Transformed Life

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7

  • He sees your heart, and He wants to change your unholy passions.
  • He knows your thoughts, and He wants to deliver you from unholy thinking.
  • He has all the wisdom, and He wants to teach you how to “be holy” for His glory.

The One who made you whole is the One who wants to make you holy. – TWEET IT

Praise and Prayer

Thank You, Father, for never rejecting me, and always changing me, to be like You. Dear Jesus, teach me to pursue You supremely.
