Psalm 45:6: Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.

Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms

He is going to rule in righteousness. How the world needs a righteous ruler! Regarding His return to the earth, the Lord Jesus Himself said, “When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory” (Matt. 25:31). Not until then will we have peace on this earth. That is the need of the world. When Betsy Ross made the first American flag, George Washington expressed the wish that it would wave for a thousand years. We have recently celebrated our two hundredth anniversary, and already we are growing old as a nation. But the government of God is eternal 1

Living the Transformed Life

For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. Isaiah 9:6–7

  • When the King returns, will He find you already serving Him?
  • When the King returns, will He find you already praising His majesty?
  • When the King returns, will He find you already meditating upon His Word?

Praise and Prayer

Thank You, Father, for being my Savior, my Lord and my King. Dear Jesus, please teach me to live in daily expectantly of Your certain return.
