Psalm 33:20–22: Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in Him, Because we have trusted in His holy name. Let Your mercy, O Lord, be upon us, just as we hope in You.
Experiencing Jesus in the Psalms
When we trust in the name of God, our hearts will rejoice. May I make a suggestion? Why don’t you saturate yourself with the Psalms? Instead of running around attending all of the conferences which tell you about new methods of running Sunday school, running the church, or doing this or that, why don’t you stay home and read the Psalms? When you are saturated with this portion of God’s Word, it not only will bring comfort to your heart, it will solve 99.4 percent of the problems of the church. Oh, that it might become meaningful to you personally and be translated into shoe leather! 1
Living the Transformed Life
Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord! Psalm 27:14
- When we wait upon the Lord, we learn to surrender all our anxieties, frustrations, and fears, because we can trust Him. He will help us. He will provide for us.
- When we wait upon the Lord, our heart will begin to sing praise songs, because He has given us new hope to trust Him for everything.
- When we wait upon the Lord, we have a new hunger for His Word. He will strengthen our faith. It is time to believe His best will be accomplished, even when we are at our worst. Please put all your hope in Him today.

Praise and Prayer
Thank You, Father, for giving me every reason to trust You for everything. Dear Jesus, thank You for Your patience as I have been learning to wait upon You.
