Proverbs 31:31a: Text

Insight

When the mists of earth have gone forever, when its pride and folly and iniquity are eternally past, such a one as the mother of Lemuel has been describing, shall appear in her Lord’s own presence with rejoicing, bearing her sheaves with her. At His feet she will cast down the fruit of her hands and the works His grace has wrought in and through her, to have all surveyed by Himself. How sweet to hear His words of approbation in the gate, “Well done, good and faithful servant! Enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.” 1

Application

For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister. Hebrews 6:10

Remember the purpose of your life? Jesus said it is to bear fruit. You can not make or manufacture this fruit. It comes completely from God. What you can do and must do, is to abide with Jesus. May your roots go deep into His Word. On January 1st we start a new DiscipleshipLiving series through Psalms called: Songs for the Soul. Hopefully this new Bible study will help you to have the most fruitful year as His servant.

Motivation

When you eat the labor of your hands, you shall be happy. Psalm 128:2

All the hard labor, over an extended period of time, with many great challenges, was well worth the taste of just one bite of fruit. – TWEET IT

Prayer

Father, thank You for being the Bearer of Good Fruit in my life.
