Proverbs 15:22: Without counsel, plans go awry, but in the multitude of counselors they are established.

Insight

Four times the Book of Proverbs focuses on the importance of getting advice from others in regard to one’s plans. 1

Application

Proverbs 11:14 Where there is no counsel, the people fall; But in the multitude of counselors there is safety.

Proverbs 15:22 Without counsel, plans go awry, But in the multitude of counselors they are established.

Proverbs 20:18 Plans are established by counsel; By wise counsel wage war.

Proverbs 24:6 For by wise counsel you will wage your own war, And in a multitude of counselors there is safety.

Have you built significant Christians relationships with others, so you can seek their godly council as you journey through the ups and downs of life? Make it a priority. You will regret the absence of not having a few wise friends, and not being such a friend to someone else. This is the fruit of discipleship, living as a follower of Jesus.

Motivation

If you being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! Matthew 7:11

It is wise to seek wise council. – TWEET IT

Prayer

Father, please help me to develop godly relationships within the Body of Christ.
