Proverbs 14:2: He who walks in his uprightness fears the Lord, but he who is perverse in his ways despises Him.
Insight
This tells us that our walk will reveal our relationship with God. We are told by the apostle John, “He that says he abides in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked” (1 John 2:6). Our walk should be in obedience to the Father just as the walk of the Lord Jesus was. Obedience to the Lord is the important thing. Without that, your religion is phony and false. 1
Application
Paul explained the advancement of our Christian walk in 1 Corinthians 13:11 “When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.” Does your walk resemble that of a child or of a mature person? What child-like behavior or attitude do you need to depart from?
Motivation
He who hears you hears Me, he who rejects you rejects Me, and he who rejects Me rejects Him who sent Me. Luke 10:16
