Luke 12:22–26: Then He said to His disciples, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds? And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? If you then are not able to do the least, why are you anxious for the rest?

Said the Robin to the Sparrow, “I should really like to know
Why these anxious human beings, Rush about and worry so.”
Said the Sparrow to the Robin, “Friend, I think that it must be
They have no Heavenly Father, Such as cares for you and me.”

Well said. But the actual truth is even more compelling because birds, in the full sense, do not have a heavenly Father. Only we, his children, can call him Father because we bear his image. 1

Your Word is Truth

What is just one thing that you are currently worrying about? Why is this so hard to surrender this to the Lord? Why is it consuming all your time and emotions? How has your worry negatively effected your relationship with God and with others? Is it time to renew your trust in your Heavenly Father, and exchange your worry for His peace?

So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. –Genesis 1:27

You Alone are God

Worry causes weariness, then discouragement, then depression. Trust Him. – TWEET IT

Your Will be Done

Lord, please forgive me for worrying and not trusting you. Please fill me with new faith, hope, and love…today.
