John 7:25–27: Now some of them from Jerusalem said, “Is this not He whom they seek to kill? But look! He speaks boldly, and they say nothing to Him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is truly the Christ? However, we know where this Man is from; but when the Christ comes, no one knows where He is from.”

The crowds assumed that Jesus (this Man) was only a Galilean carpenter from the city of Nazareth. They also believed that the Messiah (the Christ) would be unknown until His public appearing. A reader of the Gospels recognizes the irony. Jesus is more than a Galilean; He is the Logos (Word) who was virgin-born in Bethlehem. Yet He was relatively unknown until His manifestation (the Cross and the Resurrection). 1

Your Word is Truth

How is Jesus more than a Galilean carpenter to you? How has His crucifixion and resurrection changed your life? Will you pray right now for a family member or friend that needs to experience Jesus as their resurrection and life?

No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him. –John 1:18

You Alone are God

If Jesus never came to earth, what would the purpose of life be? – TWEET IT

Your Will be Done

Lord, thank You for not only bringing salvation, but also a present and future hope.
